The following post differs from the one that I was going to write but I thought that I had to share it. The above headline may seem quite a bold claim and some might say implausable but this happened to Ultrathought over the weekend. Why? Because of this post about the iPhone. The reasons for the massive spike were simple - currency, popularity and the power of a catchy headline. And yes, I did get 10 times more visitors to this site overnight compared to my normal readership.

Millions of people today own digital cameras and out of those I bet nearly all would like to take better photographs. When I started taking photography seriously about 2 years ago I did not realise that there were so many good web-based articles and books available. The subject can be quite daunting to the novice snapper as some aspects can be extremely technical, so when you find a clear and concise tutorial that explains everything that you need to know, then it is like a breath of fresh air (it is to me, anyway). The following is a short summary of the best books and websites available for those wishing to learn digital photography.
