Download Any Online Video for Free

With a logo that looks suspiciously like that of YouTube, a new web application is allowing users to convert and download videos found on many of the popular video archives.

FLVIXCapturing video from the web generally produces a Flash format, or .flv file. Whilst this is handy for those posting web videos (funny old thing) it is not that friendly to the layman. Flvix can convert your chosen clip to .avi, .mov, .3gp, .mp4 and .mp3 formats allowing it to be played on your machine or placed into lets say, a presentation, straight away.

If you can get through the adverts, it’s quite a useful tool. I tested this on YouTube and Google Video with perfect results; I’m just wondering how many other sites it will work with? Let us know!
