Easy File Renaming

October 7th, 2007 by Steve the Admin

Have you ever transferred a whole stack of digital photographs to your PC but have been annoyed by the long list of meaningless alpha-numerical file names? Or maybe you have a batch of downloaded files with many strange symbols in the title such as &%”/ etc? Then this small and compact utility is maybe just what you need.

Bulk File Renamer is a very simple, stand alone tool that does exactly what it says on the tin. It renames files, in bulk. It has a very easy to use interface and will rename any type of file compatible with windows. Useful for renaming lists of digital images or even archives MPEG’s, it displays a live preview of how the files will be renamed. You can do text-transform tricks, add a suffix or prefix and add a sequential count from any number. Best of all, it is free.
