Search Engines seem to be cropping up all over the place at the moment, but there is definitely a market for those with ‘niche’ features. At first glance Green Maven looks like an Eco-Warriors Wordpress blog but it goes much deeper than that with a whole host of features for the Green-minded.
This search engine pulls results from a hoard of environmentally friendly Web sites and news stories to help you narrow it down, whether you’re looking for vegetable-tanned leather pumps or a green moving company.
Other features (like categories) include News, Videos, Directory, Widgets, Jobs board and green products. You can sign up for a weekly newsletter and also download a Green Maven Firefox search plugin. I have a feeling that this will become the homepage for a great many people.
