Some people out there are just dying to get their teeth into a bit of web authoring but really don’t have the technical know how. Of course there are Content Management Systems but as most of us know, they are rarely user friendly. Until now.
There is not much that can be said about this web-app, mainly because it is so incredibly simplistic. Texty was born from the concept that simple text elements on any website should be very easy to edit for anyone. Like this text element for example, it can be changed through Texty - without ever opening a FTP connection, editing a block of HTML, or testing for code issues.
All of this is handy for webmasters who do not have the luxury of using a WYSIWYG text editor to publish posts and articles to blogs etc. A Texty account is required to start using but this is enabled via a simple 1 step login routine. Then, you simply write your text as it would appear to the user, including the formatting, then click the ‘Create Texty!’ button and voila! - code for you to insert into your HTML editor.
Its quite simple. That is why they call it simple content management syndication - SCMS.
