This is the story of how we came to be here and why you are looking at this web site.

In February 2007 I survived, by the grace of God, a near fatal accident that brought with it multiple injuries, 2 weeks of sedation and a series of vivid halucinations, then followed by 2 months in hospital and re-hab which at time of writing (6 months after the event) is still on-going. At the moment the catalyst for these events is not important, but needless to say I am glad that it is now behind me and that I am gradually putting things back together. My immediate family have been my reason for survival during all of this and in particular, my wife, who has been a rock. Incidentally friend of mine is considering writing a book about our experiences abroard. If it gets anywhere near a publishing house, I’ll let you know. I’m sure I’ll get a small mention.

Before this event I had often thought about writing an online journal or ‘web log’ but I never thought that I could either find the time or write anything that anyone would possibly want to read. I also considered that I would potentially land myself in the worlds amount of trouble for expressing my views. However, I no longer seem to worry about that same things anymore, if about anything. Now is the time.

So here we are, the first entry in what will hopefully become a beautiful relationship between you, me and the web.
